"I have never seen myself so vulnerable, un-edited and real...and felt so beautiful." - Cassia V
Helping you show you feel and look your very best.
I believe in taking the time to get to know my clients - to know their stories, their motivations, and their uncertainties. Together we'll craft a session that is authentic to your true self, both celebratory and accepting.
I believe that anyone can look good in a photograph. Whether you're a pro in front of the camera, or nervous at the thought of it, I'll help you with a careful selection of location, outfits, and concepts that will reflect how you truly want to be seen, and draw on my experience and training in fashion, traditional, and glamor photography, to direct you through poses and movements that will make the session feel effortless and fun.
I believe in using light, shade, posing, and angles to craft the most flattering yet authentically real images of you. Other photographers my use, or even rely on, software to improve their images, but I want you to look at your photographs and say "That's the real me".
The analog advantage.
35mm film has an aesthetic that still can't be accurately recreated in photoshop, with a higher tolerance for over-exposure than any digital camera, and grain that is naturally flattering without filters or edits. I work with a selection of film stocks that give you a choice of different vibes based on your needs. Whether you need high-fidelity skin tones, vibrant colors, contrasty black-and-white, or a throwback to the heyday of film photography, there is a film stock to match. Combined with the use of classic lenses, your portraits will have a distinctive and timeless look that will look beautiful on your wall or in your hands.
I develop and scan all my film myself. This creative control helps me maintain my own individual style, while retaining the authenticity that my clients expect.
What's Included in Your Sessions:
Commercial pricing - Please contact me to discuss your product or event photography needs, including image licensing.
Premium Portraiture - Captured on professional-grade 35mm film, using modern lenses for the highest image fidelity and accurate color rendition, these images are ideal for large prints or wall art. This extended session allows for multiple outfit changes, more varied poses, and different styles (for example one series of professional headshots, and another series of beauty or glamor photographs). Often in an outdoor setting or evoking movement, these sessions result in the largest selection of images to choose from, and are scanned in at higher resolutions that allow for the very largest prints with no loss of detail. Premium Portraiture now includes the option for indoor studio sessions or the Cummer Museum at no additional charge! Ask for details (Cummer Museum sessions are limited to 90 minutes within the Gardens).
$1200 (includes $300 of credit towards prints, albums, and wall art or commercial licensing fees)
Classic Portraiture - Up-close and personal, classic portraiture is artistic imagery that brings out your natural personality, beauty and humanity. Typically a slow, deliberate process drawing from a selection of older cameras and lenses, this 2-hour session allows for a variety of outfits and poses that allow you to explore and rediscover your true self. You'll leave energized and excited to see the results of the final prints in your hands. Studio locations and the Cummer Museum are available as add-ons! Ask for details (Cummer Museum sessions are limited to 90 minutes within the gardens).
$750 (includes $200 of credit towards prints, albums, and wall art)
Vintage Portraiture - Harking back to the film photography of yesteryear, these shorter sessions are focused on a single theme or look, and are ideal for someone looking to explore portraits on film without committing to a longer, more involved session. Lasting up to an hour, you can still expect the same personal touch that you deserve, and the same attention to detail and guidance that will leave you with beautiful art to cherish and look at for years to come. Due to the abbreviated session time, studio and Cummer Museum locations are not available as add-ons to Vintage Portraiture. Vintage Portraiture is classic black-and-white film only.
$500 (includes $100 of credit towards prints, albums, and wall art)
Portraiture sessions include; pre-session call; 1 or 2hr photography session; skin blemish removed after scan; image selection/ordering session; online private gallery.
Model portfolio sessions: If you are an upcoming and unsigned model looking to improve their posing or expand their portfolio with an analog aesthetic, I am open to suggestions to create. Please write with a theme, concept, or specific fashion look in mind. I do not offer "TFP" shoots simply to provide free photos, and I ask that models cover the cost of film. Models must sign an image release - images are typically used for social media promotion and/or submission for publication. The best images from the session will be available via an online secure gallery for promotional, non-commercial use and Models also receive discounts on their print purchases from the gallery store and are eligible for future paid projects.
Prints*: In a digital age, we often forget just how striking it can be to see a portrait on a wall or hold an album in your hands. The session pricing includes credits towards prints, albums and wall art items. Digital downloads are unlocked for each image purchased as a physical print if requested (please contact me for specific pricing of digital-only requirements).
