You’re someone who deserves to get their picture taken.
But you never do.
Maybe you’re always behind the camera, maybe you don’t think you’re photogenic enough, maybe you don’t feel comfortable with how to dress or pose.
Maybe you just haven’t found the right photographer.
A portrait is intended to showcase your authentic inner beauty, your character, and your humanity, captured at a single moment in time. It is worthy of careful consideration and planning, and you deserve a photographer who can provide their artistic vision and expertise to make it happen.
I am that photographer.

About
I help people see their authentic selves through the tangible, real world of analog film portraiture.
I will work with you from the very first contact to craft a session that will reflect who you are and how you want to be seen. Even if you've never been in front of the camera before, or normally hate getting your picture taken, I'll help with choosing location, outfits, props and poses - and you'll leave the session feeling energized and excited to see your photos!
You deserve to be happy - whether you're a success story or a survivor, whether you're at rock bottom or on cloud nine, there's ALWAYS a reason you should feel good. It's time to celebrate yourself.
You deserve to be seen looking and feeling great without the need for filters, retouching, or AI enhancements. It's time to recognize that you are already good enough.
You deserve to hold your art in your hands - hang it on the wall and see yourself for real, not on the screen of a smartphone. It's time to ditch the digitals.
Every portraiture session fee includes store credit for the printed images you want - whether it's a collection of smaller prints, a single large piece of wall art, or a photobook collection. You'll purchase prints from your own private online gallery, through trusted professional third-party vendors such as Miller's and fotoflōt, to be shipped directly to your home.

FAQ
Q: Where do you even get film these days?
A: Easily my most asked question! There are actually a ton of places to buy online, and I regularly make a trip to a local North Florida store, the Reformed Film Lab.
Q: Do you develop your film yourself?
A: Yes - I develop and scan my film at home. It gives a lot more flexibility and creative control over how my images look.
Q: I don't like my face/neck/arms/tummy...can you photoshop me to look better?
A: No. I will edit out temporary skin blemishes like zits, but my images are otherwise unretouched. I use light, posing techniques, and camera angles to help my clients look their best.
Q: How you help me prepare for the session?
A: We will have at least one phone call to discuss the photoshoot and how you would like to be seen, and we'll go over film choices, location, outfits, props, and anything else you think might be important! We'll stay in touch by email and text, and I'll review outfit options or send on a short session guide, so that on the day you're feeling confident and ready to go. Check out my blog post for some ideas on outfit choices!
Q: I have no idea how to pose in front of the camera - how do you pose your clients?
A: My style is a mix of directed movement and specific poses, drawing on portraiture and fashion styles that are fun and flattering for any age, gender, or body-type. Even if you've never had a portrait session before, by the end you'll look and feel like a supermodel! (Literally - ask me about my photography education... ;-)
Q: How many images will I get from my session?
A: Each session type has a store credit that scales with the value of the session. You can use this to purchase a number of prints, or one large print, or as a partial payment on a large order! You decide how you want to spend it. You can expect to choose from approximately 20-40 images from each hour of photography, depending on the session flow.
Q: Do you only do portraiture on film?
A: Although I firmly believe that analog photography is ideal for portraits, I have also worked for event and commercial photography clients, and some of that included digital photography. Please contact me for your specific needs and we can talk!
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: I serve Jacksonville, Nocatee, Ponte Vedra and Saint Augustine, FL. Travel further afield can be easily arranged for an additional fee. You can read about some of my favorite places to do sessions at on my blog.
Fun fact: I have a flash for almost every camera I own, but shoot almost exclusively with natural light!
